Subjects and Qualifications
As a Meridian School, we follow the a set curriculum map, with the creativity of our amazing staff to ensure the teaching is unique to the Stratton School learners. Alongside the highest academic standards, our curriculum places strong emphasis on the provision of rich social, moral, spiritual and cultural experiences to support the development of our young people. Excellent careers education, advice and guidance (CEIAG) opportunities are planned for both within and beyond the classroom. Our curriculum is designed to provide tailored, flexible routes through each academy, with variations and differences to suit each school’s context and expertise. These are created through the combination of a range of courses and sensitive, flexible setting and grouping arrangements.

Our teaching hours in KS3 include Year 9 for 2024-2025 only. Year 9 will follow the legacy pathway, and make option choices for the start of Year 10. Years 7+8 will follow the Meridian Pathway and make their choices at the end of Year 8
